Janine Worthington

Janine Worthington personal trainer at KT Chaloner

Janine has always been involved in sports from an early age, starting with gymnastics at 5 (her party trick is the splits) later discovering a passion for netball. She continued with this passion representing both Welsh and England leagues over the years and can still be found running arounds the netball courts every Wednesday night, albeit in a less competitive way!

With 2 children Janine knows only to well how difficult it can be to juggle their needs with an healthy active lifestyle, but needless to say she found a way. After taking her first daughter to a trial session at Shotokan karate it was actually Janine that stuck with it attaining her 4th KYU! When she became pregnant with her second child she was a little more house-bound, but again it didn’t stop her. A keen runner, Janine purchased a treadmill and squashed it into her garage. For many years Janine trained on the treadmill with baby monitor propped up and went on to complete 3 half marathons and the Great North Run.

Always being a keen ‘gym goer’ Janine eventually joined the studio and enrolled on Skinny Jeans School. That was in 2013 and she hasn’t left since! Completing SJS right the way through to graduate school, Janine was a complete natural. She loved the studio and naturally gravitated toward other new starters regularly helping out and offering support in the Facebook group. It was inevitable that given the opportunity Janine would jump at the chance of training to be an instructor. Enjoying the buzz she got from group classes and seeing the transformation of clients it spurred her on to help people achieve their goals and she qualified as both a Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training – not just qualified, passed with flying colours!

Janine has a good eye for technique and is always hands on to ensure her clients work safely and efficiently. Having 2 children herself and in her 40’s, Janine understands the challenges of training effectively whilst juggling family life. Janine is highly motivated to continue her learning journey to help others and is looking to further her knowledge in the future to pre and postnatal exercise and mat based pilates.
