Perfect for beginners or those who want to learn the foundation of Pilates from the beginning. We recommend doing 2 x 5 week blocks in Basic before moving to the Transition Pilates and a more intermediate level.
This class takes place every Saturday 11.30am for 5 weeks starting 7th September
This course is designed to teach the foundations of Pilates and specifically for those who are new to Pilates or who have felt a little lost in PAYG classes not really understanding the art of Pilates. During this course you will master the foundations of this wonderful practice including learning the importance of breath and how we use it to engage those deep stabilising muscles. You will learn about core engagement and joint stabilisation for improved posture and to decrease the risk of injuries and niggles. You’ll also learn the why behind certain phrases like pelvic tilts and working in imprint to allow you to really progress your Pilates practice for the better. Starting with the foundations of Pilates is fundamental to progressing correctly and not only enjoying this form of exercise, but getting the most from it. We take a hands on approach to coaching with an emphasis on helping you ‘feel’ what it should feel like to be in alignment, have your core engaged and be in the right position to carry out the movements correctly with stability, balance and strength.
